Structural Formula of HEIDA:
HEIDA is a biodegradable chelating agent, use for controlling alkaline earth metals, particularly for calcium it shows very good complexing capacity. The use of HEIDA is particularly advantageous for preventing scaling. In cleaning compositions it is suitable for hard-surface cleaning, such as certain automatic dishwashing, kitchen cleaning agents, bathroom soil removal and especially calcium soap removal from bathtub surfaces.
